Position Summary

As General Accounting Manager, you will supervise a team of seven and oversee day-to-day operations of a well-run accounting function, and also contribute to an upcoming system implementation and the integration of new acquisitions.

We're looking for someone who has the technical expertise, leadership skills, and ambition to grow right along with the company.

Our Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from a accredited, four-year institution
  • Broad accounting background (3-7 years) including experience managing general ledgers, monthly close, AP, A/R, and account reconciliations. Experience should include at least two years in a supervisory role. Quick question for you - click here
  • Manufacturing/cost accounting experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounting systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel.
Preferred, but not required:
  • Floorplan financing experience
  • Experience with DMV (titling, registrations)
  • Experience with Dealer Management Systems

More About Your Role

Reporting to the CFO, you will provide leadership to seven accounting/clerical staff. This team is very capable, and your role will be one of a hands-on leader who is available for assistance with technical questions as well as ongoing skill development and coaching. In addition to supervising your team and their AP/AR, office management and DMV tasks, your responsibilities will include:
  • Monitoring and reporting the daily cash position to the CFO
  • Government reporting compliance for state, city, county and other agencies (registration, return preparation & submission and deposits)
  • Month-end accounting and reports
  • Monthly cash flow reporting
  • Bus physical inventory
  • Parts physical inventory
  • Factory rebates and incentives
  • Sales tax in CA, OH, NV (monthly) and NM (every six months)
  • Coordinating flooring inventory checks from all flooring finance companies
We are exploring a migration to a new accounting system within the next six months, and you will play a key role in this implementation.

Yorba is a one and a half acre facility dedicated entirely to alternative fuel conversions or upfits. The Yorba shop specializes in performing one of a kind CNG and Propane conversions on Chevy and Ford chassis.
